She was one of the 30,000 workers the bank laid off throughout its transition in October 2011. Karen decided to seek out help in finding employment, visited the Chicago Heights Workforce Center and shortly noticed a flyer for National Able Network. With the help of her Client Services Representative, Karen was enrolled within the Workforce Investment Act program which allowed her to obtain one-on-one assistance, employment workshops, and coaching to turn out to be an authorized bookkeeper. As a student in the Career Advancement Program, I improved my customer service expertise and upgraded my software program knowledge throug h the bookkeeping portal. Having a staff to help my training, via my client service representative and my program advisor, offered major encouragement and advantage in serving to me to complete the program. Within four weeks of finishing the program, I was hired by a non-revenue agency and have been capable of utilize the knowledge and expertise gained through coaching at National Able Network.
